Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Applicants must hold a valid foreign passport, be 18 to 25 years old at enrolment, hold a secondary school diploma, and be in good health. From the 2026/2027 cycle, applicants must complete the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) before applying. English taught programmes ask for TOEFL 90 or above, or IELTS 6.0 or above; Chinese taught programmes ask for HSK Level 5 with a score of at least 180.
Master's and PhD
Beihang teaches 382 courses fully in English across its engineering, science and management schools, including seven recognised as Ministry of Education brand courses. Requirements are set by the hosting school, generally a relevant bachelor's degree for master's applicants and a master's degree for doctoral applicants, together with a language certificate.
Documents
Passport photocopy, secondary school (or degree) transcripts and certificate, a CSCA transcript, a language proficiency certificate, a physical examination form, financial guarantor documentation, a birth certificate, proof of parental nationality, a criminal record certificate, and a signed integrity commitment letter. Applicants under 18 submit additional guardian documents.
How to apply
- Take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) ahead of applying.
- Register on Beihang's international application portal and select a programme.
- Upload the required documents, including the CSCA transcript, language certificate and medical form.
- Pay the 400 CNY application fee online, non refundable.
- Wait for admission notification, expected around July for the most recently published cycle.
- Register in person in August or September, and pay the 3,200 CNY four year insurance charge at that time.
English test waiver
Applicants who can show their prior education was taught in English may submit that instead of a test score. Chinese taught programmes ask for an HSK Level 5 report with a score of at least 180.
