How we verify

Every fact on this site is a record with three things attached: the value, the official page it came from, and the date we last checked it. If any of the three is missing, the page is kept out of search engines until it is complete.

What counts as a source

The university's own admissions, fees or deadlines page; a government portal for visas and scholarships; a scholarship provider's own page. Ranking sites, agents and forums are not sources. Where an official page is ambiguous, we say so on the page rather than guess.

How often

Deadlines are rechecked before each intake cycle and whenever a university announces a change. Fees and requirements are rechecked at least once a year. Any record older than ten months goes into a queue that the editors work through every week, and any record older than twelve months is marked as unverified on the page.

What we do not do

  • We do not publish a university page from database fields alone. A page needs a verified deadline, a fee figure, an English requirement and a written overview before it is indexed.
  • We do not copy ranking tables. Where a ranking is mentioned it is cited with a link.
  • We do not run sponsored guides from agents or consultancies.
