Admission at a glance
Strathclyde takes undergraduate applications through UCAS on the national calendar: 18:00 UK time on 13 January 2027 is the equal consideration deadline for 2027 entry, and medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine or science courses across the UK follow an earlier 15 October 2026 deadline instead. Strathclyde's general undergraduate English requirement, confirmed on its own page, is IELTS 6.5 overall with no band below 5.5; Engineering and Science undergraduate courses instead ask for IELTS 6.0 overall with no band below 5.5, so the level needed depends on the faculty.
Strathclyde's official Undergraduate Study Fees Guide for 2026-27 sets overseas fees by faculty and course: GBP 20,950 a year for BSc Hons Education and Curricular Studies with Teaching, the lowest confirmed figure; GBP 22,750 a year for most Humanities and Social Sciences programmes, most Strathclyde Business School programmes, and Mathematics and Statistics; higher named rates up to GBP 26,000 for programmes including Law, Speech and Language Pathology, Sport and Physical Activity, and the Bachelor of Business Administration; GBP 29,350 a year for most Faculty of Science programmes; GBP 30,950 a year for most Faculty of Engineering programmes; and GBP 31,900 a year, the highest confirmed figure, for programmes in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Fee increases are capped at 10 percent a year, though Strathclyde states the actual increase applied for 2026-27 was 5.5 percent.
A specific university wide deadline for postgraduate taught applications for January 2027 entry was not found on Strathclyde's own January intake page at the time of this research; for the September 2026 intake, Strathclyde set an international deadline of 31 July 2026 for applicants from a short list of countries needing enhanced visa-readiness checks and 14 August 2026 for international applicants from other countries, with the university describing courses as generally closing once places are filled rather than running to one fixed date.
