Manchester takes undergraduate applications through UCAS on the standard national calendar: 15 October 2026, 18:00 UK time, for its Medicine and Dentistry courses, and 13 January 2027, 18:00 UK time, for equal consideration on every other course. English language requirements are set individually by course rather than through one university-wide figure, and the general guidance is that most courses ask for somewhere between IELTS 6.0 and 7.0, with specific departments confirmed directly at levels including 6.5 overall (Biosciences, Alliance Manchester Business School) and 7.0 overall including a 7.0 in writing (Electrical and Electronic Engineering).

International tuition fees are also set course by course rather than in a single published range. For 2026-27 entry, the lowest confirmed figure in this research was GBP 27,800 for BA History, a classroom based humanities course, rising to GBP 33,100 for undergraduate Business and Management at Alliance Manchester Business School, and up to GBP 39,900 for the pre-clinical years and GBP 60,900 for the clinical years of the MBChB Medicine and Surgery course, the highest confirmed figure at the university.
