Admission at a glance

University College Dublin is Ireland's largest university by enrolment, with a single Belfield campus in south Dublin and a large international student population. Non-EU applicants apply directly through the UCD online application system, which opens on 1 October the year before entry, and pay an application fee of EUR 70 covering multiple programme choices. UCD runs a rolling admissions process: courses stay open until all places are filled, non-EU applicants are generally advised to apply by the end of August, and applicants who need an entry visa are strongly advised to apply earlier, ideally by 1 July, to allow enough time for visa processing. Non-EU undergraduate tuition for 2026/27 runs from about EUR 25,800 to EUR 39,900 a year depending on programme; some professional programmes such as medicine and veterinary medicine may be priced outside this general range on their own course pages. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet UCD's minimum English requirement, normally IELTS 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 90, with test results no more than two years old at the time of application.
