Admission at a glance
Texas A&M University runs one freshman application timeline for domestic and international applicants alike, with a December 1 deadline for fall entry and no separate early or regular round. Applicants complete the Texas common application (ApplyTexas) or the Coalition Application, self-report their academic record through Texas A&M's Self-reported Transcript and Academic Record System unless they hold a GED, and submit English proficiency scores from a test taken within the past two years. Texas A&M accepts TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic, TOEFL Essentials and other alternatives, and states its scores clearly on its international freshman page: a TOEFL iBT of 80, an IELTS Academic of 6.0, or a TOEFL Essentials of 8.5, tested at least eight weeks before the deadline so results arrive in time. The university does not accept the IELTS General Training test or the MyBest TOEFL composite score. Texas A&M is one of the largest universities in the United States by enrollment, with a wide range of engineering, agriculture, business and science programs, and its admission review differs mainly by Texas residency, a distinction that does not apply to the international applicant pool.

Bachelor
International freshman applicants must complete the application (ApplyTexas or Coalition Application) by December 1 for fall entry, the same deadline that applies to domestic applicants. Texas A&M reviews the self-reported academic record, required essays and, for international applicants, an English proficiency score. Texas A&M does not require SAT or ACT scores from international applicants who meet the English proficiency requirement through an accepted test.
