Admission at a glance

UC Davis reviews international first-year applicants through the shared University of California application, the same form and the same 1 October to 30 November filing period used at every UC undergraduate campus. UC Davis states plainly that international applicants are held to the same admission requirements and go through the same selection process as domestic applicants, with admission officers reading non-U.S. coursework directly rather than asking applicants to convert grades or pay for a third-party credential evaluation before applying. The campus hosts more than 4,500 international undergraduates, a large and established population across its agricultural, biological, engineering and life sciences programs, which remain among its most requested majors. English proficiency is required unless exempted, following the UC systemwide minimum scores, and score reports must reach the university by the January deadline UC sets for every campus. UC Davis does not consider SAT or ACT scores in its admission decision. Davis has one of the higher admit rates among the UC campuses covered here, so well-prepared applicants who are a strong subject match for its research strengths have a realistic path to an offer.
