Loughborough takes undergraduate applications through UCAS on the national calendar: 18:00 UK time on 13 January 2027 is the equal consideration deadline for 2027 entry, and medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine or science courses across the UK follow an earlier 15 October 2026 deadline instead. The standard university wide English language requirement, confirmed directly on Loughborough's own page, is IELTS 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each element, or the equivalent TOEFL iBT 88, PTE Academic 65, or Duolingo 120; some Social Sciences, Humanities, and Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences courses ask for more.

International undergraduate fees for 2026-27, confirmed on Loughborough's own fee page, fall into four tiers: GBP 24,700 a year for arts, humanities and social science courses such as English, History and Law; GBP 25,950 and GBP 27,300 for other course groups; GBP 30,700 for most STEM subjects including engineering, sciences and design disciplines; and GBP 33,000, the highest confirmed figure, for Sport and Exercise Science.

Postgraduate taught applications use fixed deadlines that move forward each year. For the September 2027 intake, the international deadline is 23 August 2027 (13 August 2027 for portfolio based programmes) and the UK deadline is 13 September 2027. A separate January 2027 start is offered at Loughborough's London campus, with an international deadline of 14 December 2026 and a UK deadline of 25 January 2027. Late applications are considered case by case if places and processing time remain.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree

A-levels, the International Baccalaureate or another equivalent qualification at the level the specific course states, plus English language ability of IELTS 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each element, or higher for some Social Sciences, Humanities, and Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences courses.

Master's degree

A relevant bachelor's degree, normally at 2:1 level or its overseas equivalent, plus the English language level the specific programme states. Application deadlines are fixed dates that move forward each year rather than one date that repeats.
