Admission at a glance
Acadia University is a public university in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, that admits international undergraduates on a rolling basis rather than working to a single hard deadline, so applicants can apply once the cycle opens and receive a decision without waiting for a fixed date. Applicants who want to be considered for Acadia's entrance scholarships and bursaries must have their application and all supporting documents in by 1 March. Admission is based on the applicant's secondary school record in the courses required for the chosen program, and English proficiency is required unless the applicant is exempt, through a recognized test such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic or Duolingo, or through three years of full-time education in a language of instruction that was English; an applicant who is otherwise admissible but has not yet met the English requirement can be admitted conditionally and complete Acadia's English for Academic Purposes program first. Unlike universities that set a different tuition rate for each faculty, Acadia charges international undergraduates a single flat annual rate for a full course load that applies across programs, which makes total cost easier to predict regardless of a student's major. Acadia's non-refundable application fee was CAD 40 at the time of verification and was set to rise to CAD 100 from 21 September 2026, which is also when the university opens applications for the following Fall's intake, so most applicants for Fall 2027 entry pay the higher fee.
