Admission at a glance

Nottingham takes undergraduate applications through UCAS on the standard national calendar: 15 October 2026, 18:00 UK time, for Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, and 13 January 2027, 18:00 UK time, for equal consideration on every other course. English language ability is set through a named tier system rather than one figure; Nottingham's own equivalency page confirms three IELTS tiers, 6.0 (no element below 5.5), 6.5 (no element below 6.0), and 7.0 (no element below 6.0), with the specific tier for a course shown in the prospectus or course listing rather than centrally.

Nottingham's overseas (international) tuition fee for 2026-27 entry is confirmed directly on the university's own fees page: classroom based arts, humanities and social science courses such as English, History and Philosophy are charged GBP 24,700 a year, laboratory based science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science are charged GBP 33,000, Economics related courses GBP 26,800 and geography based courses GBP 29,000, Veterinary Medicine (standard route) GBP 41,800, and Medicine and Graduate Entry Medicine GBP 47,000 a year, the highest confirmed standard undergraduate figure. A lower rate of GBP 20,000 applies specifically to Science with a Foundation Year, a preparatory route rather than a standard three year bachelor's degree, and is not used as the minimum figure here.

Bachelor's degree

A-levels, the International Baccalaureate or another equivalent qualification at the level the specific course states, and English language ability at the tier the course sets: 6.0 (no element below 5.5), 6.5 (no element below 6.0), or 7.0 (no element below 6.0).
