Seoul National University is Korea's oldest and most internationally recognised national university, admitting international undergraduates through a Global Talent Special Admission that runs twice a year for a March or September start. Tuition is the same for Korean and international students and is set per college, from about KRW 2.44 million a semester in humanities and law to over KRW 5 million a semester once a medical student reaches the clinical years. Admission is a single-stage document review with no separate quota, so competition ratios are not published.

SNU charges the same tuition to Korean and international students, set per semester by college rather than as one flat rate. For 2026, humanities, most of the social sciences, business and law charge KRW 2,442,000 a semester; general science, nursing, agriculture and life sciences (natural-science track) and most education tracks charge about KRW 2,975,000 to 2,998,000; fine arts charges KRW 3,653,000; music charges KRW 3,916,000; and pharmacy's six-year integrated programme charges KRW 4,481,000. Medicine and veterinary medicine start lower during the pre-clinical years (about KRW 3,072,000) and rise once a student reaches the clinical years, to KRW 5,038,000 a semester for medicine and KRW 4,645,000 for veterinary medicine. The undergraduate application fee is KRW 70,000, paid online when the application is submitted.
