Hokkaido University Scholarships 2028 for International Students
Hokkaido University is a national research university in Sapporo and one of Japan's former imperial universities. Its Modern Japanese Studies Program (MJSP) is a 4.5-year bachelor's degree, half taught in Japanese and half in English, combining a six-month intensive Japanese course with four years of degree study.
A share of each MJSP intake, historically around four students from the first call, can receive the Japanese government's MEXT scholarship. The Fast Retailing Foundation also funds designated MJSP scholarships for students who apply directly to the foundation. Beyond MJSP, students can apply for JASSO and other external scholarships through the university's international office.
