Every English-medium programme charges a one-time admission fee of JPY 200,000 and an application fee of JPY 5,000 per programme. Tuition varies: the Global Studies Major and the American University joint degree both total about JPY 1,669,200 in year one, falling to JPY 734,600 a semester (about JPY 1,469,200 a year) from year two; the Global Liberal Arts RU-ANU Major totals JPY 2,600,000 in year one with year two onward billed at JPY 1,434,000 a semester; the Community and Regional Policy Studies major totals JPY 1,561,600 in year one, JPY 680,800 a semester after; and the Information Systems Science and Engineering course totals JPY 2,001,600 in year one, JPY 900,800 a semester after. Ritsumeikan notes that fees may change if inflation or other costs rise sharply.
