Bachelor's degree

A-levels, the International Baccalaureate or another equivalent qualification at the level the specific programme states, and English language ability at the Standard level (IELTS 7.0 overall, 7.0 in reading, minimum 6.5 in the other three skills, or TOEFL iBT 107) unless the programme sets a different level.

How to apply

  1. Register with UCAS and choose LSE as one of up to five choices.
  2. Check the specific programme's entry requirements and English language level.
  3. Submit the UCAS application by 18:00 UK time on 13 January 2027 for 2027 entry.
  4. Receive a decision through UCAS Track; accept a firm and, where eligible, an insurance choice.
  5. Meet the offer conditions, including final grades and the stated English language level.
  6. Apply for the Student visa once the place is confirmed unconditionally.

English test waiver

Most LSE undergraduate programmes ask for the Standard level: IELTS 7.0 overall with 7.0 in reading and no less than 6.5 in speaking, writing and listening, or TOEFL iBT 107 overall (23 in reading and listening, 22 in writing, 20 in speaking). Test results must be less than two years old by 1 October in the year of entry.
