Requirements
Master
GSST admits international master's and doctoral applicants who hold, or expect to hold, a bachelor's degree in a relevant science or engineering field. IELTS Academic 6.5 is the minimum listed by the IELTS test provider for Kumamoto University postgraduate admission. Applicants for the IJEP route need a supervisor arranged in advance where the guidelines require one.
Documents
Academic transcripts, a bachelor's degree certificate or proof of expected graduation, an IELTS or equivalent English score report, a research plan, letters of recommendation, and any programme-specific forms listed in the current Admission Guidelines.
How to apply
- Identify a prospective supervisor in your field within the Graduate School of Science and Technology, where the programme requires one.
- Prepare transcripts, an English test score and a research plan.
- Submit the application within the published window for April or October entry.
- Complete any interview or additional screening requested.
- Pay the admission fee and first tuition instalment after an offer to confirm your place.
