Delft University of Technology (TU Delft)

The Justus and Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarships are financed from the legacy of Justus and Louise van Effen and are administered directly by Delft University of Technology to attract excellent international students to its two-year regular MSc programmes (joint international education programmes are not eligible). Applicants must be conditionally or unconditionally admitted to one of these programmes, must not be a TU Delft bachelor's student, must not hold a bachelor's degree from a Dutch university, and must not have already started their master's studies at TU Delft. Selection is based on excellent academic results in the applicant's previous study programme, typically placing them among the top 10 percent of their graduating class, judged as relevant to the master's programme applied for. The scholarship covers full tuition fees for the TU Delft MSc programme, calculated on the statutory or institutional fee that applies to the student's nationality, plus a contribution toward living expenses that independent reporting places at around EUR 30,000 a year when combined with the fee waiver. A complete MSc application, including the scholarship request, must be submitted by the deadline of 1 December 2026 at 23:59 CET, with award decisions communicated by email by the end of March 2027, conditional on the applicant meeting all admission requirements.
